Music Ministries

Music is such a powerful part of worship! It can inspire people and help make worship a more meaningful and moving experience.

Through our Music Ministry at HCL, you can lend your vocal and instrumental talents to lifting up God's Word and inspiring those in worship!

If you play an instrument or sing, we want to invite you to get involved and offer your talents to one or more of HCL’s music groups.

Music Ministry Opportunities:

Vocal

  • Celebration Singers: Small ensemble of 10-12 auditioned singers. Sings for worship and special events. Rehearses two Mondays prior to the event.

  • Contemporary Worship Band: Leads worship on weekends and weeknights.

  • Festival Choir: Large seasonal choir performing Christmas, Easter, and Patriotic works with orchestra.

  • Hallelujah Voices: Children's Choir (grades 4th - 8th). Sings monthly during worship, September - May.

  • Jubilee Singers: Children's Choir (Grades 1st - 3rd). Sings monthly during worship, September - May.

  • Praise Team:  (Vocalists & Instrumentalists) Plays/sings at all weekend services once per month. Minimum commitment is two weekends per month.

  • Sanctuary Choir: Adult and high school student choir. Sings regularly during worship. Practices on Thursdays, 7:00 pm, September - May.

  • Soloist Ministry: Sing solos and duets for select worship services. Call for an audition.

Instrumental

  • Big Band: Adults and high school students who play wind instruments. Plays monthly during worship. Practices on Tuesdays, 6:30 pm (except the first Tuesday of the month), September - May.

  • Brass Ensemble: Adults and high school students who play brass instruments. Plays monthly during worship. Practices the first Tuesday of the month, 6:30 pm, September - May.

  • Contemporary Worship Band: Leads worship on weekends and weeknights.

  • Joyful Ringers: Adult Handbells. Plays monthly during worship. Practices on Tuesdays 7:30 pm, September - May.

  • Praise Band: Plays with the Praise Team and for other worship services.

  • Praise Team: (Vocalists & Instrumentalists) Plays/sings at all weekend services once per month. Minimum commitment is two weekends per month.




 
 
 

Worship Media Ministry Opportunities:

Assist with worship presentations, operate the projection equipment or live feed video during worship, record special productions, provide sound for worship and special events as well as media slides.
