It’s time for our HCLS Read-A-Thon!

WHAT IS IT? The Read-A-Thon is a reading challenge designed to inspire the love of reading! This fundraiser allows our students to raise money for our school while promoting literacy and a life-long love of reading!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

● Each child will set a reading goal (in minutes) and read, or be read-to, over a 14-day period.

● Students ask family, friends, and neighbors for pledges for meeting their reading goal.

● Children and their parent or guardian complete the record sheet each day.

● Record sheets, sponsorship forms and collected pledges are submitted March 1-3.

KEY DATES:

February 1-2: Read-A-Thon packets go home this week.

February 14: Read-A-Thon Begins!

February 18: Dress like your favorite Book Character Day

February 25: Snuggle up and read a good book! (PJ Day/comfy cozy day!)

February 27: Last day of the Read-A-Thon

Februay 28-March 1: Count minutes and collect pledges; bring everything into your teacher.
